Transformation

Pictures are ideally suited for the exploration of transformations. Use these pictures to create or to analyze designs involving translations, reflections, rotations, dilations, and self-similarity.

PerspectiveAndProportion.png

Perspective and Proportion

Some pictures involve interesting perspectives or proportions in natural and human phenomena. Use these pictures to investigate or create models of perspective drawings, proportions, similarity, and trigonometry.

CurveFitting.png

Curve Fitting

Many pictures contain elements that can be modeled by mathematical curves—from straight lines and parabolas to polynomial functions and conic sections. Use these pictures as backdrops for fitting curves or for measurement.
